Gumball Fever

Today I had one of those "what have I done" moments. I responded to an ad on Freecycle for a 5-ft tall Gumball Machine. (I know! What was I thinking?!) When I picked it up it was a disaster. There were about 100 old dissolving gumballs in it, the top was detached and there was tape residue everywhere. I was thinking, should I stick this on the sidewalk with a FREE sign on it?So, naturally I drove it over to my friends the Goddards house. Fortunately, Beths Father-in-Law Jim was visiting who is an Engineer. And Greg (bubble boy), who is very handy with projects like this, was around. So they disassembled it, we washed it up, and they put it back together with NO extra pieces! Just how they wanted to spend their Sunday afternoon Im sure! As you can see, it is looking almost like new! Nice work guys!!

Alfalfa

Don was nice enough to ride out to the ranch with me on Sunday. I'm not quite sure how he got up on the stack of hay.

Out of Commission

All day Tuesday this was my view. Yes, I had the Flu and my toilet was my best friend!

A lot of thoughts go through your head when you are waiting to die.

1. I need to get my core (a.k.a. stomach muscles) in better shape!

2. Maybe Ill lose a few pounds when this is all over.

3. Do I have any jello, 7-up or chicken soup in the cupboard? Leftover Chinese isnt really appetizing when you are recovering.

4. At what point would I need to dial 911?

5. How did my hair get so crazy looking?

(These are the guys I was hanging out with over the weekend. I think I picked up the bug from the beany baby.)

Mr. R?

Will the real Mr. R please stand up?! Seems these two both take advantage of being mistaken for one another from time to time. It might help if you would quit dressing alike!

Bachelor Impersonator!

While he says he doesnt like watching The Bachelor, somehow he ends up watching each week. Hmmm? Now Greg likes to call me up during the show impersonating Andy in his dumbest sounding surfer-dude voice. (He actually does it pretty well!) It cracks me up!

Hooray for Bollywood!

Get ready for the next big craze! It's Bollywood dance classes! I just took my first class last night and had a blast. Im not sure that my body is meant to do some of the moves that they taught us, and I am not very coordinated, but it sure was fun. If you've ever seen some of those music videos on the Indian cable channels then you know what the dances look like. You have to give it a try!

Week 4 of The Bachelor

Okay, I admit it. My guilty pleasure is watching The Bachelor. It is just so ridiculous that you cant help but watch it! The girls are crying when they are kicked off after only knowing the guy a few hours, some of them are a brick short of a load, and others are just plain crazy. In other words, its perfect television! This week Im thinking Tessa will make it to the end. But Ive been wrong before. Tune in!!

Santa Cruzin'

Last week Bryce, Wolfie, Lexi and myself took off for the beach in Santa Cruz. Karen and Brett joined us the following day and we hit the Boardwalk for some crazy rides.

Even Aunt Karen went on the Pirate Ship with Lex, Wolf and Bryce (back row). Note Aunt Karen ducking behind the children on the log ride!
Room Service and Robes are fun!

I highly recommend the Coast Santa Cruz Hotel which is right on the beach. Great service and lots of fun for the kids!
